Author's Note: I admit I struggled with this prompt. The fisherman part was what kept throwing me, as it didn't really fit any characters I typically write for. And then the rest of it just clicked on the whole shepherd aspect of Charming's life, and how he tends to continue with that role even now in Storybrooke. And then this all just fell into place for me. And 2016 seems to be shaping up as the year where I take a few bolder choices in my writing. So far, I'm digging this new turn quite a bit.

The title is part of an Aberjhani quote from The River of Winged Dreams, which is "Souls reconstructed with faith transform agony into peace." It's kind of a secondary influence to this story.

Sherlock listens to Bell, of course, but his eyes are still fixed on Watson. She ties her hair back with easy, fluid movements, and Sherlock considers her as she is (Major Joan Watson, Head Nurse), as well as what she will be to him (Watson, nanny). He throws his duffel into the back of the Jeep. It's rather a shame, he thinks: he might've liked Major Watson.

Title: Meeting the Lawyer (excerpt)
Author: Rroselavy
Rating: PG
Summary: Set in 1979. Sam Kennedy leaves New York City behind to take a position as head librarian for a regional library in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, to finally try to heal the wounds left by his father's shocking murder. This scene is placed probably midway, if not further along in the story. If you'd like to read a little more about When The Time Comes, you can find information here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/671140. As this is still a WIP, the story is evolving and the names may change in the future.
Content Notice: Men kissing.
Author's Note: Back in November I had this idea that I would write a novel and I joined NaNoWriMo. I managed about 4700 words (the first chapter) that have yet to see the light of day. The concept of the novel was to use the dynamics of the Saiyuki story I love and to generate a work of fiction that could stand on its own; something that could be read and enjoyed by people unfamiliar with the characters and the fandom.
