Now that it was just Aya and Momoe, there weren’t so many high school girls in the Kitten in the House flower shop. Usually, a few of them showed up a few times a week. Aya liked to listen to them while she worked. Well, she liked it, and she hated it. A lot. The girls looked like her. They talked about things she wanted to talk about. But they weren’t like her. They hadn’t lost two years of their lives or their parents or their brother. Looking at them was like looking at the life she could have had.
