Nefariel rose with the dawn, stretching and then turning to watch Emma and her deep, even breaths as she continued to sleep.
Good. The night had been rough for her, and she had woken, screaming, more than once. There was only so much Nefariel could do for her, and only so much she could do for herself.
But now she slept as herself, without nightmares, and slowly, Nefariel smiled.
He'd leave her to her rest but not go too far as he started on the day.

Shining Beyond, Nefariel & Emma
Good. The night had been rough for her, and she had woken, screaming, more than once. There was only so much Nefariel could do for her, and only so much she could do for herself.

Not while she still had red in her hair.
He knew this too well.
