I was never truly a Thark in the ways that they could see and understand. I felt so little in common with them, yet clung to the idea that our Jed, Tars Tarkas, my father, would make a change, having known true love.
It has come to pass in the time since the advent of John Carter of Virginia. And yet, it is not in the dried canals where my people live that is home to me, not for all of my one-time yearning for such.
No. My home shall always be where Dejah Thoris and John Carter are found.
