A Lazy Afternoon
pf_mod: modern pseudo-cubist painting of a red headed woman holding a book with a red cover (Default)

Day 1:
No use to weep inside and to scream outside.
Behind all this perhaps some great happiness is hiding.

Day 2:
The first rain reminds me
Of the rising summer dust.

Day 3:
Love is not the last room: there are others
after it, the whole length of the corridor
that has no end.

Day 4:
But then it is the light that makes you remember.

Day 5:
Restless I shall wander about;
hungry for life I'll die.

Day 6:
And no more shall we tell what we were told
To other tellers. Silence as admission.

Day 7:
Do not accept these rains that come too late.
Better to linger. Make your pain
An image of the desert.

Thanks to the amazing [profile] lady_krysis, we have a master list for the first week of the challenge!

Day 1:
Word for word, I stumble.
A beginner, I feel your mouth touch mine.

Day 2:
I am queen of all my sins
forgotten. Am I still lost?
Once I was beautiful. Now I am myself,

Day 3:
I kneel once more,
in case mercy should come
in the nick of time.

Day 4:
It's old-fashioned, as stylish as a bedbug,
but it suits to die in something nostalgic.

Day 5:
Now I am fairest, she said,
lapping her slim white fingers.

Day 6:
He is the undefiled,
the eternal listener
who has cried back into the earth.

Day 7:
He wants, I want.
Dear God, wouldn't it be
good enough to just drink cocoa?

Day 8:
if it's the end of the world,
it must be necessary.

Title: Meeting the Lawyer (excerpt)
Author: Rroselavy
Rating: PG
Summary: Set in 1979. Sam Kennedy leaves New York City behind to take a position as head librarian for a regional library in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, to finally try to heal the wounds left by his father's shocking murder. This scene is placed probably midway, if not further along in the story. If you'd like to read a little more about When The Time Comes, you can find information here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/671140. As this is still a WIP, the story is evolving and the names may change in the future.
Content Notice: Men kissing.
Author's Note: Back in November I had this idea that I would write a novel and I joined NaNoWriMo. I managed about 4700 words (the first chapter) that have yet to see the light of day. The concept of the novel was to use the dynamics of the Saiyuki story I love and to generate a work of fiction that could stand on its own; something that could be read and enjoyed by people unfamiliar with the characters and the fandom. With thanks to [personal profile] whymzycal, who gave it the once-over.
