Dinah started packing away the mementos that hurt the most, intent on starting her new life without Oliver to keep her hanging in limbo. It hurt all over again, seeing her smiles, his adoring looks, all the candid snapshots from the years as she took down the pictures.
She had meant it. She loved him, she always would love him, but she couldn't do the long absences any longer, couldn't watch him give himself over to anyone but her for the way his heart was so pulled.
Some day, maybe he would understand. Maybe they'd both find real love then.
